At Waxed Words, every item is thoughtfully made, and we want you to feel confident in your purchase. Please review our refund and returns policy below.
Overview
Our return policy is valid for 30 days from the date of delivery. If more than 30 days have passed, we’re unable to offer a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase.
Non-Returnable Items
Because many of our products are customized or made to order, certain items are not eligible for return, including:
- Personalized or engraved items
- Gift cards
- Downloadable or digital products
- Items damaged due to misuse or normal wear
For hygiene and safety reasons, we also cannot accept returns on items that have been burned, used, or altered after delivery.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We will review the situation and offer a replacement or refund if the issue is due to our error.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you by email regarding approval or rejection.
If approved, your refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Processing times vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet:
- Check your bank account again
- Contact your credit card provider
- Contact your bank

Sale items
Items purchased on sale or at a discounted price are final sale and not eligible for refunds.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange for the same item, email us at info@waxedwords.com and we’ll provide next steps.
Gifts
If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you may receive store credit for the value of the return.
If the item was not marked as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Shipping returns
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
For higher-value returns, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
